FBIDC Assisted Deal, NRG Completes World's Largest Carbon Capture Unit In FBC

Houston Business Journal- Houston-based NRG Energy Inc. (NYSE: NRG) and Tokyo's JX Nippon Oil & Gas Exploration Corp. have completed their joint venture carbon capture unit, called Petra Nova, on budget and on schedule, the companies said in a press release. The system captures more than 90 percent of the carbon dioxide from a 240 megawatt slipstream of flue gas coming off a coal power generator at the companies' WA Parish power plant in Fort Bend County.
