Sugar Land Approves Annexation, Will Boost Population By 34 Percent

Houston Business Journal- Sugar Land's population is set to grow by about 34 percent after annexation plans received final approval from Sugar Land City Council on Nov. 15. Annexation of New Territory and Greatwood will add 3,850 acres to the city southwest of Houston and take effect Dec. 12, 2017, according to city council documents.
