Trains and Blockchain? BNSF Becomes First Class I Railroad To Join High-Tech Alliance

Houston Business Journal- The blockchain craze has crossed over into the rail industry, as Fort Worth-based BNSF Railway Co. announced Feb. 5 it's joining the Blockchain in Transport Alliance. "Blockchain technology has the potential to change several aspects of the transportation industry and it is important that the industry comes together to align around a set of standards," said Muru Murugappan, BNSF vice president of technology services and chief information officer, in a prepared statement.
